Chairman

Alan MJ Halfacre F IDM

Alan HalfacreA graduate in electronics, he learnt his business skills with Plessey and Emerson Electric (USA).

Alan retired from full-time commerce in 2003 having been Chairman and Chief Executive of a major direct marketing services and mail production company that he had started in 1976.

He was a founder member of the DMA, chairing their Postal Affairs committee and serving on the DMA board until the end of 2007. He also spent three years as the Chief Executive of QMP, the mailing quality accreditation organisation.

A specialist in postal matters, Alan currently chairs the Mail Users’ Association and Postaf, the Postal Trade Association Forum.

He lives in the Cotswolds and London with wife, Lizzie and has two daughters. In his spare time he is an avid fly fisherman and game shot.

In his role at Pitney Bowes Peter has responsibility for managing their relationships in Europe with National and new entrant posts as well as managing relationships with postal stakeholder groups such as Regulators, Government Bodies and Trade Associations.

Jeremy Partridge

Jeremy PartridgeJeremy Partridge is responsible for the day-to-day administration of MUA and is the first port of call for membership enquiries. Formally Head of Post Affairs and Export Strategy at Periodical Publishers Association, Jeremy oversees the production of MUA's formal submissions to key stakeholders, and assisted by the Chairman and Board Directors administers MUA's Inland Commmittee and any relevant Sub Groups and delegations that need to be organised.
